| Please note that this software is a pre-release version. Don't hope to find something perfect and stable. This theme, and its installation processes may alter your computer booting process so please follow this steps only if you are sure of what you are doing. |

==== Download the Binary ====

You can download it via browser just following [[http://blog.andreaolivato.net/downloadsafisufi-high-tech-0.1-alpha-3.so.bz2|this link]] or use your terminal to do so

==== Install Startup Manager ====

From your Ubuntu Box just use Synaptic to search and install __startupmanager__ package or, if you prefer, do everything from the terminal

>''sudo apt-get install startupmanager''

==== Extract the theme from the bz2 ====

You can extract your theme both via command line

>''cd Desktop && bunzip2  afisufi-high-tech-0.1-alpha-3.so.bz2''

and via gui

>''Right click on the .bzip file -> Extract Here''

==== Run Startup Manager ====

Go to your menu , System -> Administration -> Startup Manager

== Configure Grub ==

Under the first tab of Startup Manager (**Boot Options**) check this options

  * Display -> Resolution -> 1024×768 or 800x600 or 640x40 
  * Display -> Color depth -> 24bits
  * Misc -> Show boot Splash -> Yes
  * Misc -> Show text during boot -> Yes

== Install Theme ==

Under the second tab (**Appareance**) do

      * Manage usplash themes… -> + Add -> select /home/yourname/Desktop/afisufi-high-tech-0.1-alpha-3.so
      * Choose ‘afisufi-high-tech-0.1-alpha-3’ from the Usplash Theme: select
      * Close and wait for StartUp manager to finish post installation scripts

==== Turn on Verbose Mode ====

To be sure of seing the text during the boot process open the grub configuration file and delete ‘quiet’ from your kernel line

>''sudo gedit /boot/grub/menu.lst''

find your kernel and delete the quiet word from the options.
